Surveying is said to be the second oldest profession in the world. Following in the footsteps of previous surveyors some notably famous include George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Abraham Lincoln, Meriwether Lewis & William Clark, Charles Mason and Jeremiah Dixon just to name a few, we have an obligation to strive to be the best at what we do. During our expeditions we see places in our region that not too many people get to experience. One of the great aspects of this profession is traveling through the state meeting new people and retraceing the footsteps of the surveyors before us. Finding old patent corners (first land grants in this area mid to late 1800's to early 1900's) such as survivor trees or set corner stones, experiencing breathtaking panaramic views and traveling to untouched regions of remote wilderness are some of the aspects that keep this job exciting. Below are just a few of the photographs we have taken on some of our numerous outings.
